Future
Here I'm collecting ideas and plans for the backport repository for sarge, which will start as soon as sarge is stable.
- restructure repository, move from symlinks to pool structure
- use 'bpo' instead 'backports.org' as extension in versionnumber
- try to use only packages from testing, to ensure that backports are stable
- don't backport security related packages, e.g. bind or openssh
- concentrate on packages important for workstations, not for server
- sign packages with a valid gnupg key
