EXTT0=(Bob Dylan)\nJohn Wesley Harding was a friend to the poor He tra
EXTT0=velled with a gun in every hand All along this country side he o
EXTT0=pened many a door But he was never known to hurt an honest man T
EXTT0=was down in Chaney County, a time they talk about With his lady
EXTT0=by his side he took a stand And soon the situation there was all
EXTT0= but straightened out For he was always known to lend a helping
EXTT0=hand All across the telegraph his name it did resound But no cha
EXTT0=rge held against him could be proved And there was no man around
EXTT0= that could track or chain him down He was never known to make a
EXTT0= foolish move
EXTT1=(Bob Dylan)\nAs I went out one morning to breathe the air aound
EXTT1=Tom Paine's I spied the fairest damsel that ever did walk in cha
EXTT1=ins I offered her my hand, she took me by the arm I knew that ve
EXTT1=ry instant she meant to do me harm "Part from me this momeent."
EXTT1=I told her with my voice Said she, "But I don't wish to. " Said
EXTT1=I "But you have no choice." "I beg you sir", she pleaded from th
EXTT1=e corners of her mouth "I will secretly accept you, and together
EXTT1= we'll fly south." Just then Tom Paine himself came running from
EXTT1= across the field Shouting at this lovely girl and commanding he
EXTT1=r to yield And, as she was letting go her grip of Tom Paine, did
EXTT1= run "I'm sorry sir", he said to me. "I'm sorry for what she's d
EXTT1=one."
EXTT2=(Bob Dylan)\nI dreamed I saw St. Augustine alive as you or me Te
EXTT2=aring through these quarters in the utmost misery With a blanket
EXTT2= underneath his arm and a coat of solid gold Searching for the v
EXTT2=ery souls whom already have been sold "Arise, arise", he cried s
EXTT2=o loud with a voice without restraint "Come out you gifted kings
EXTT2= and queens and hear my sad complaint" "No martyr is among ye no
EXTT2=w whom ye can call your own" "But go on your way accordingly but
EXTT2= know you're not alone" I dreamed I saw St. Augustine alive with
EXTT2= fiery breath And I dreamed I was amongst the ones that put him
EXTT2=out to death Oh I awoke in anger so alone and terrified I put my
EXTT2= fingers against the glass and bowed my head and cried
EXTT3=(Bob Dylan)\n"There must be some way out of here," said the joke
EXTT3=r to the thief, "There's too much confusion, I can't get no reli
EXTT3=ef Businessmen they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth None of
EXTT3=them along the line know what any of it is worth" "No reason to
EXTT3=get excited," the thief, he kindly spoke "There are many here am
EXTT3=ong us who feel that life is but a joke But you and I, we've bee
EXTT3=n through that and this is not our fate So let us not talk false
EXTT3=ly now, the hour is getting late" All along the watchtower Princ
EXTT3=es kept the view While all the women came and went Barefoot serv
EXTT3=ants, too Outside in the distance A wild cat did growl Two rider
EXTT3=s were approaching The wind began to howl
EXTT4=(Bob Dylan)\nWell, Frankie Lee and Judas Priest, they were the b
EXTT4=est of friends. So, when Frankie Lee needed money one day, Judas
EXTT4= quickly pulled out a roll of tens, And placed them on a foot st
EXTT4=ool just above the clouded plain. Saying, "Take your pick, Frank
EXTT4=ie boy. My loss will be your gain." Well, Frankie Lee, he sat ri
EXTT4=ght down and put his fingers to his chin. But with the cold eyes
EXTT4= of Judas on him his head began to spin. "Could you please not s
EXTT4=tare at me like that", he said. "It's just my foolish pride. For
EXTT4= sometimes a man must be alone, and this is no place to hide." W
EXTT4=ell Judas he just winked and said, "Alright, I'll leave you here
EXTT4=, But you'd better hurry up and choose which of those bills you
EXTT4=want before they all disappear." "I'm goin' to start my pickin'
EXTT4=right now. Just tell me where you'll be." Judas pointed down the
EXTT4= road and said, "Eternity." "Eternity?", said Frankie Lee, with
EXTT4=a voice as cold as ice. "That's right," said Judas "Eternity, th
EXTT4=ough you might call it paradise." "I don't call it anything", sa
EXTT4=id Frankie Lee with a smile. "Alright", said Judas Priest "I'll
EXTT4=see you after a while." Well Frankie Lee he sat back down feelin
EXTT4=g low and mean. When just then a passing stranger burst upon the
EXTT4= scene. Saying, "Are you Frankie Lee, the gambler, whose father
EXTT4=is deceased? For, if you are, there's a fellow calling you down
EXTT4=the road, and they say his name is Priest." "Oh yes, he is my fr
EXTT4=iend", said Frankie Lee in fright. "I do recall him very well. I
EXTT4=n fact, he just left my sight." "Yes that's the one", said the s
EXTT4=tranger, as quiet as a mouse. "Oh my message is, he's down the r
EXTT4=oad, stranded in a house." Well, Frankie Lee, he panicked. He dr
EXTT4=opped everything and ran Until he came on to the spot where Juda
EXTT4=s Priest did stand. "What kind of house is this?", he said "Wher
EXTT4=e I have come to roam." "It's not a house", says Judas Priest, "
EXTT4=It's not a house, it's a home." Well, Frankie Lee, he trembled.
EXTT4=He soon lost all control Over everything which he had made while
EXTT4= the mission bells did toll. He just stood there staring at that
EXTT4= big house as bright as any sun With four and twenty windows and
EXTT4= a woman's face in every one. Well, up the stairs ran Frankie Le
EXTT4=e with a soulful bounding leap. And, foaming at the mouth, he be
EXTT4=gan to make his midnight creep. For sixteen nights and days he r
EXTT4=aved, but on the seventeenth he burst Into the arms of Judas Pri
EXTT4=est, which is where he died of thirst No one tried to say a thin
EXTT4=g, when they carried him out, in jest Except, of course, the lit
EXTT4=tle neighbor boy who carried him to rest And he just walked alon
EXTT4=g alone with his guilt so well concealed And muttered underneath
EXTT4= his breath, "Nothing is revealed." Well the moral of this story
EXTT4=, the moral of this song Is simply that one should never be wher
EXTT4=e one does not belong. So, when you see your neighbor carrying s
EXTT4=omethin', help him with his load. And don't go mistaking paradis
EXTT4=e for that home across the road.
EXTT5=(Bob Dylan)\n"Oh, help me in my weakness", I heard the drifter s
EXTT5=ay As they carried him from the court room and were taking him a
EXTT5=way. "My trip hasn't been a pleasant one and my time it isn't lo
EXTT5=ng And I still do not know what it was that I've done wrong." We
EXTT5=ll, the judge he cast his robe aside a tear came to his eye "You
EXTT5= failed to understand", he said. "Why must you even try?" Outsid
EXTT5=e the crowd was stirring, you could hear if from the door Inside
EXTT5= the judge was stepping down, while the jury cried for more. "Oh
EXTT5=, stop that, cursed jury", cried the attendant and the nurse "Th
EXTT5=e trial was bad enough, but his is ten times worse," Just then a
EXTT5= bolt of lightning struck the courthouse out of shape And while
EXTT5=everybody knelt to pray, the drifter did escape.
EXTT6=(Bob Dylan)\nDear landlord, please don't put a price on my soul
EXTT6=My burden is heavy, my dreams are beyond control When that steam
EXTT6=boat whistle blows I'm gonna to give you all that I got to give
EXTT6=And I do hope you receive it well Depending on the way you feel
EXTT6=that you lived. Dear landlord, please heed these words that I sp
EXTT6=eak I know you suffered much, but in this you are not so unique
EXTT6=All of us at times, we might work too hard To have it too fast a
EXTT6=nd too much And anyone can fill his live up with things He can s
EXTT6=ee but it just cannot touch. Dear landlord, please don't dismiss
EXTT6= my case I'm not about to argue, I'm not about to move to no oth
EXTT6=er place Now each of us has his own special gift And you know th
EXTT6=is was meant to be true And if you don't under estimate me I won
EXTT6='t under estimate you.
EXTT7=(Bob Dylan)\nI am a lonesome hobo Without family or friends. Whe
EXTT7=re another man's life might begin That's exactly where mine ends
EXTT7=. I have tried my hand at bribery, Blackmail and deceit. And I'v
EXTT7=e served time for everything 'cept beggin' on the street. Well,
EXTT7=once I was rather prosperous There was nothin' I did lack. I had
EXTT7= fourteen caret gold in my mouth And silk upon my back. But I di
EXTT7=d not trust my brother I carried him to blame. Which led me to m
EXTT7=y fatal doom To wander off in shame. Kind ladies and kind gentle
EXTT7=men Soon I will be gone. But let me just warn you all Before I d
EXTT7=o pass on. Stay free from petty jealousies, Live by no man's cod
EXTT7=e. And hold your judgment for yourself Lest you wind up on this
EXTT7=road.
EXTT8=(Bob Dylan)\nI pity the poor immigrant Who wishes he would've st
EXTT8=ayed home Who uses all his power to do evil But in the end is al
EXTT8=ways left so alone That man whom with his fingers cheats And who
EXTT8=m lies with every breath Who passionately hates his life And lik
EXTT8=ewise fears his death. I pity the poor immigrant Who's strength
EXTT8=is spent in vain Who's heaven is like ironsides Who's tears are
EXTT8=like rain Who eats but is not satisfied Who hears but does not s
EXTT8=ee Who falls in love with wealth itself And turns his back on me
EXTT8=. I pity the poor immigrant Who tramples through the mud Who fil
EXTT8=ls his mouth with laughing And who builds his town with blood Wh
EXTT8=o's visions in the final end Must shatter like the glass I pity
EXTT8=the poor immigrant When his gladness comes to pass
EXTT9=(Bob Dylan)\nThere was a wicked messenger from Eli he did come W
EXTT9=ith a mind that multiplied the smallest matter. When questioned
EXTT9=who had sent for him he answered with his thumb For his tongue i
EXTT9=t could not speak but only flatter. He stayed behind the assembl
EXTT9=y hall it was there he made his bed Often times he could be seen
EXTT9= returning. Until one day he just appeared with a note in his ha
EXTT9=nd which read The soles of my feet I swear they're burning. For
EXTT9=the leaves began to falling and the seas began to part And the p
EXTT9=eople that confronted him were many. And he was told with these
EXTT9=few words which opened up his heart If you can not bring good ne
EXTT9=ws then don't bring any
EXTT10=(Bob Dylan)\nDown along the cove I spied my true love coming my
EXTT10= way Down along the cove I spied my true love coming my way I s
EXTT10=aid, "Lord have mercy momma, It sure is good to see you comin'
EXTT10=today." Down along the cove I spied my little bundle of joy Dow
EXTT10=n along the cove I spied my little bundle of joy She said, "Lor
EXTT10=d have mercy honey, I'm so glad you're my boy." Down along the
EXTT10=cove We walked together hand in hand Down along the cove We wal
EXTT10=ked together hand in hand Everbody watchin' us a go by Knows we
EXTT10='re in love, yes they understand.
EXTT11=(Bob Dylan)\nClose your eyes, close the door You don't have to
EXTT11=worry anymore I'll be your baby tonight Shut the light, shut th
EXTT11=e shade You don't have to be afraid I'll be your baby tonight W
EXTT11=ell, that mockingbird's gonna sail away We're gonna forget it T
EXTT11=hat big fat moon he's gonna shine like a spoon But we're gonna
EXTT11=let it, you won't regret it. Kick your shoes off, do not fear B
EXTT11=ring that bottle over here I'll be your baby tonight
