BeTetris v1.0

Introduction
============

Thanks for downloading BeTetris. I hope that you enjoy playing it as much
as I have enjoyed writing it (and playing it). :)

BeTetris History
================

BeTetris began life around the beginning of the summer when my BeBox
first arrived. Due to the fact that I had a 40 hour a week programming
job, progress tended to be somewhat slow. Not to mention the fact that
when it became playable, I spent more time playing than coding. :)

Time passed, and I finally decided that it was good enough for other
people to start playing. So, after a momentary hold while waiting for
DR8 to arrive, I released BeTetris v0.9 on September 22, 1996.

How Version 1.0 is better than Version 0.9
==========================================

* Includes the full source code for BeTetris (although not thoroughly
	commented)

* Adds the ability to start at the level of your choice

* Adds the ability to begin with X rows of random debris

* Fixes a bug which caused blocks to repeat if they were touching the
	top of the board when multiple rows were removed

How Version 1.0 may be worse than Version 0.9
=============================================

* I decided to make BeTetris shareware
	(Hey! There's full source code now! ;)

* The fee is US $5.00 payable to Steve Sprang and mailable to the
	address below

* If you think BeTetris is cool, or you find something useful in the code
	please consider sending in the fee

Playing
=======

Playing BeTetris should be pretty self-exlanatory. The default keys
are:

left: 						j
right: 						l
rotate clockwise:			o
rotate counterclockwise:	u
drop						<SPACE>

Some of my friends think these keys are weird. Fortunately you can
configure them however you want. :)

Distribution
============

Feel free to distribute BeTetris in any way that you can. I only ask that
this ReadMe file is always included with the executable, and that you're
not bundling BeTetris with something else as a purchase incentive.

If you make any changes to the source code, please DO NOT distribute it
without first contacting me.
